Service Industry Association（SIA）は、コンピュータ・ハードウェアのアフターサービスを提供する134社で構成されている業界団体。同団体は11月17日、OracleがSun機器のメンテナンスに関するポリシーを変更し、顧客にサードパーティ・サポート企業を利用しないよう働きかけていると申し立てた。Oracleは2010年初頭にSunの買収を完了している。
SIAは、Oracleがこうした変更を行い、独立系サービス組織（ISO）がSun顧客を対象に営んでいる総額24億ドル相当のビジネスを奪い取ろうとしていることを強く批判した。同団体によれば、Oracleはすべてのメンテナンス・サービスを同社から購入するよう顧客に圧力をかけ、またサードパーティにメンテナンスを依頼したのちにOracleへ戻りたいと考えている顧客に再適格性検査料金を支払わせているという。
